my crate isn't all about nike air force 1's.
it's not even all about nike.
i have a whole load of adidas, 4 pairs of bapestas, 4 pairs of puma and
now i have 4 pairs from a collaboration between marc jacobs and vans.
this box turned up at whitfield towers a couple of weeks ago
and the reveal...
marc jacobs x vans sk8 hi in green canvas and suede.
deadstock, all the way from the usa.
they have a nice little marc jacobs x vans label
and although they came fitted with pale green laces, i dropped the spare laces
onto these bad boys.
i'm not that familiar with the sk8 hi but it seems like a well constructed shoe
the ankle padding is there, but kind of minimal, not in a nike way.
decent lining too
they're not as comfortable as nike shoes but i guess it's all about the look.
the vans old school styling with no flash touches... until marc jacobs came along.
the vans heel tabs have been tweaked for this collab
also the insoles show a bit of joint branding too.
oh... if you were wondering why i dropped the hot pink laces onto these...

i like vans. i like marc jacobs. for me this is a win win and a fine addition
to my collection.
